What is “The Laurel”?

The Laurel is a beautiful five and half acre gated apartment community nestled in Tomball, Texas. Located just minutes from the premier Vintage Park shopping center.

Who lives at The Laurel?

The Laurel is a 55+ Age Restricted Community , where people in similar life stages can meet others who share interests in leisures and hobbies. This apartment community was designed for those that are ready to leave the house maintenance and yard work behind to relax and enjoy every moment doing what they love.

What is there to do at a 55+ Age Restricted Apartment Community?

Anything you want. That is the great part of a community designed with you in mind. The Laurel hosts social engagements daily. You can join in as little or as much as you would like. Have a suggestion or preference of activities? Meet with our on-site coordinator to help customize your lifestyle. Our team at The Laurel works hard to continually enhance and improve our events to keep our residents enjoying the lifestyle they deserve.

What are the costs for daily activities?

These activities are all inclusive in your monthly rent. Our teams are amazing at a lot of things, but when it comes to making sure you are having the best time of your life, we called in the professionals. The activities are organized and hosted through a company called FitCasa. They specialize in…well, having fun. They have teams that work together to organize fitness, dance, art, music and food events tailored to our residents' interests.

What is Vintage Park?

Vintage Park is a premier outdoor shopping center here in Tomball, Texas. Enjoy shopping and dining at some of the top restaurants and boutiques just minutes from The Laurel. Meet your friends for a matinee movie or pamper your stresses away with a massage. Whichever mood you are in, Vintage Park has what you need.

What do the homes look like?

Picture as you walk into your new home you are greeted with grand 10 ft ceilings, nice open concept floor plans that showcases all of your favorite pieces of furniture. Chef inspired kitchens with granite countertops that house stainless steel appliances. You notice there is a lot of light and look over and see large oversized windows that brighten the room at the perfect time of day. As you continue through the home you notice oversized bathrooms with extra cabinet space, and a large bedroom with a walk in closet that is larger than what you have now. Now, what is so great about an open concept floor plan? All this means, is that the architects designed the spaces so that you can take advantage of all of the square footage and truly live comfortably in every space.

Does my unit come with furniture?

Our homes are designed for you to add your personalized touch, for that reason we do not offer furnished homes, but we can assist you in finding a resource if furniture is what you are needing.

Are there Hardwood Floors?

Some of our homes do have a wood plank flooring option. In the instance where there isn’t wood, there would be plush carpet flooring with laminate tiling in the wet areas.

What personal belongings do I need to bring?

Bedding, cookware, and toiletries are not provided by the property. We encourage you to bring all things that you would use to live a comfortable lifestyle in your home.

What appliances come with the apartment?

Kitchens are well equipped with a refrigerator, stove and oven, and a dishwasher. The Laurel at Vintage Park also provides a full size washer and dryer in each unit.

Does The Laurel allow personal grills?

Due to local county fire codes, The Laurel cannot permit the use of personal grills on patios or balconies. We do have gas grills located throughout the property that you are welcome to use at your leisure.

Will I have a backyard?

Some of our first floor homes do have private backyards. This is perfect for small dogs, or extra patio space. This space is manicured by our professional landscaping team.

What else should I know about the home?

All of our homes come with ceiling fans in the living room and bedrooms
All of our homes have walk-In showers
All of our homes, regardless of floor have Private Patios
Some of our homes have additional studies or office space built into the floorplan.
We do have elevator access to all levels.
We offer additional Garage and Storage's for rent.

Leasing & Rent
Do I qualify?

The Laurel at Vintage Park is an Equal Housing Opportunity Provider and operates in accordance to the Federal Fair Housing Act. All applicants will be screened through a background and consumer credit check. In order to qualify all applicants per home must accumulatively make 3x the monthly rent in income. In addition one applicant per home must be 55 years of age or older and their spouse or roommate cannot be younger than 19. See the full Statement of Rental Policy for all qualifying questions and details.

What if I am not working?

Then you could be required to show proof of 3x the annual rent in liquid assets, banks accounts or other sources of income.

What are your lease terms?

6-13 months

How do I reserve a home?

You can fill out an application online or in person. At time of submittal you may be prompted to pay an application fee and deposit to hold your home off market.

Who has access to my information and my home?

Your personal information is kept confidential. The office staff and maintenance team could access your home in the event of an emergency or for routine maintenance requests that you submit. However, if there is someone that you would like to have access to either your information or your home you can submit a written request that we would keep on file to grant access.

When is my rent due?

Rent is due on the 1st of each month. Late fees will begin accruing daily starting on the 6th of each month. We do allow electronic payments through the website.

What is the late fee policy?

There is a $50 initial late fee and $10 a day until rent is paid.

How and where can I pay my rent?

You can pay your rent in the office with check or money order, or online through the Resident Portal.

What utilities are included in rent?

You would be responsible for all utilities separately from your monthly rent.

Are internet and cable included in rent?

No, you would need to contact the provider to set this up.

Can my kids and grand kids visit?

Absolutely, we love all guests. We just ask that you notify the office if they stay longer than 7 consecutive days. We also ask that a resident accompany the guests at all times when they are out enjoying our public amenity spaces.
